SPECIFICATIONS.Partially purified by chromatography of crude collagenase (EPC No. CC203).

 

Store 5°C. Will remain stable for 9-12 months at 5° C.

 

COLLAGENASE ACTIVITY; 350-450 units per mg of protein. One unit will liberate a ninhidrin color equivalent to 1 µmole of L-leucine in 5 hours at 37° C. The buffer-substrate medium is 5 ml of 0.1 M Tris-HCI pH 7.5 containing 0.01 M CaCl2 and 25 mg collagen (EPC No. C204).

 

Clostripain; <0.2 units per mg of protein.

 

Tryptic Activity; <0.5 units per mg of protein.

 

Protease Activity; 2-4 units per mg of protein.

 

FALGPA Activity; 3-5 units per mg of protein.
